St. Brigid’s Day 2024 in Martigny

On February 1st, Tale of the Gael and the Switzerland Brigid 1500 group hosted a beautiful concert to celebrate the history and legacy of Brigid. The event was supported by the Irish Embassy in Bern, Tourism Ireland and the Swiss Centre for Irish Studies. The venue was the gorgeous Temple Protestant de Martigny. I was delighted to write a poem for the occasion called “Brídeog”. The poem was also published in The Kilkenny Observer. If you would like to read the poem, you will find it under the Poetry page above.

Also, congratulations to Karen Sarmiento and Morgan Johnston who starred in the film and did an incredible job. If you do watch it, you will see a cameo from the writer too!
